me? slow? never! lol When my g/f first visited me in wales she was going round a roundabout, on the phone trying to spell the names on the road signs, she gave up because they all started Llan something and there were lile 4 per sign. When she got to mine (after i found her somewhere in Cardiff!) i explained that teh first name was teh welsh version with the english underneath it lol.

And after 15 years there all i can say is Maen gas gyddfy cymrea (sp?) but to be honest i'd be happy to move back there.

    True.
    I've learned:
'Kelpew?' - offer to provide some kind of assistance.
'Jewanchipswiat' - query relating to the purchase of a take away.

    Fascinating language.
    Great culture.

The really scarey thing is that invisible divide as you go north, where the signs flip from being English first to being Welsh first. Then you do really have to plan ahead if you need a wee at the services.

Not that there are any...

Floccinaucinihilipilification is to do with regarding something as worthless. Ironically it's a pretty worthless word in itself since hardly anyone knows what it means.

My party piece always used to be that there were only two words in the English language that had all the vowels in order: abstemious and facetious.
I've now discovered that there are two more: annelidous and arsenious.

That's how to really kill a party.

Oh, and apparently there are two words that use four consecutive letters from the alphabet, such as 'monp'.
I did know them, but I've forgotten.

It was my second party piece, but I haven't been invited to a party for such a long time on account of my first...

Oh, and in case anyone was going to look up 'annelidious' in the dictionary - don't bother.
    It means 'like an annelid'.

    Go figure.
