wmp 11 issue with burning cd's

Hi guys,

Im having a real problem with wmp11. It won't let me burn cd's. it just says, connect a burner and restart the player. Ive checked all connections, the drive is showing up in my computer, the recording tab is visible in the properties. The one problem that it could be that Im yet to solve is that in services the imapi is not visible, I don't know where or how to get this back so any advice on this would be appreciated, Im hoping this is the problem
