    Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone can shed a bit of light on this sissue i am having.....

I have recently built a new(ish) gaming machine

    AMD Athlon x4 , Asus 890fx deluxe3 mainboard, 4Gb DDR3. Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
I had bought a Microsoft Wireless laser 5000 keyboard and mouse set.

When i play Call of Duty Modern Warfare my movement is not fluid, and is very jerky, it seems as if when i move the mouse it is over-riding the keyboard commands, making me a standing target :( I have to press "W" again to move but as soon as i move the mouse again, it stops the keyboard from responding. Very Annoying!!!!

I have noticed , in devices and printers that it is listed as the 6000 v2, this is after i have selected the 5000 series driver from the microsoft. I have tried un-installing the driver, and just letting Windows install a generic driver for the keyboard to no avail.....I have also tried the device plugged into the USB 3.0 port(even tho its not a USB3.0 device)

I have noticed this however, on previous Microsoft wireless sets i have had , there was a PS2 connecto for the keyboard, and a seperate usb for the mouse, this one only has one usb connector for both devices.

Any info/help would be greatly appreciated, Microsoft KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838398 is a no go, as this is just general troubleshooting,

so im sending out this little message in a bottle hoping someone out there can light my way......

According to this link here it should be working fine http://www.microsoft.com/windows/co...US&pf=4&pi=1&s=Microsoft picture It&os=64-bit

Have you tried looking at Windows Update to see if there is an updated driver/software package (typically under the Optional tab for Keyboard/Mice) as this is where I had to look to install the full package for my Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. Typically in Windows 7 it just installs the Driver and no Hardware Specific Software to go with it - perhaps is the same for you.
