    Here is an interesting note from The Register about a flaw in windows 7 UAC. Worth a read if you are running it

    Have not turned off UAC in Vista for a few re builds now, or Win7 at all

    UAC is a very useful piece of technology, and whilst it CAN be annoying to techs, it's no more complex than having to SUDO every command in Linux if your not root

    I am not a vista user so can't really comment however it behaves (as I understand it) much like the admin prompt in OS X - which I think is a nice feature and it ensures I know what is going on.

    I agree with Ryan. You'll wish you had it the one time something tries to install that you didn't knowingly initiate.
