Anyone have any idea when the MS press study material for the Windows 7 client exams will come out?

Having just started studying for my MCDST i'd like to be able to get that out the way and 70-270 before i look at w7.

But am I right in thinking that it would be better to get the w7 client exam done and then go back to do the XP exam once done?

What makes you think doing w7 first would be better? tbh i don't know much about MS exams, but i would of thought getting the XP done first (especially if you have started) then moving on.

Personally I'd do the MCDST first. It will be a while before W7 gets anywhere near the market share that XP has so in the short-medium term it's going to be a more valuable addition to your CV than W7.

EDIT: I think I misunderstood. did you mean do MCDST, W7 then 70-270? If so, I'd say it depends on what you use at work now. If you don't currently work in IT then the 70-270 probably isn't going to be of much use to your CV.

    You got it right here
If he doesn't work in IT, neither are really beneficial. Either way, MCDST and then after a while -> 270 would be your best bet as like was said before, XP has biggest market share atm, so chances are you'll get a job supporting XP

Thanks for all the replies guys - I should of mentioned that I have been working in IT for about 8 years. Have been a network manager for about 4 supporting 500 users, 150 client machines (all XP) and 6 S2k3 servers. I'm the only support person for all that lot.

The only reason i put W7 before XP is because I know i'll have to start rolling it out and supporting it within the next 2 years (unless i move job) But i'll also have to get to grips with 2k8 r2 also. ....
