I was wondering when Seven would enter the conversation. Maybe the poll should have been "Who's your favorite Star Trek Hottie?" Of course, I'd have to put in some male choices to be accomodating to our female membership. :tongue

Having a look at your public profile, it seems you must have been quite young when STTNG first was aired. :)

(Would this be a good time to post "Top 10 Ways For Wesley to Die" list? Probably not).

I voted for Kirk, mainly because the early episodes were so amazing and different to anything that had been aired on television previously. The original Star Trek was one of the first programs broadcast in colour. I remember loads of kids from our neighbourhood coming to our house to watch it because we had a colour TV set. I do like JLP but he has a strange accent for a Yorkshireman, just a tad too thespian to be realistic.

As for supporting cast well Data wins hands down for me.

Trip, captain slog, say it over and over :biggrin

That reminds me of the recent Dr Who where Rose finds out that the Doctor is an alien and asks him 'how come you've got a Northern accent'. To which he replies, 'lots of planets have a North'
    Lovely.

How dare you call him a thespian? That was never proved and I'm sure he did it with girls lots!

I was, but inherited a flavour for it, and a Trekkie boyfriend, around the age of 16. You know. The susceptible age

Showing my age here but TOS was the very first programme I saw in colour. I was amazed at red, blue and yellow shirts. :blink Not to mention all of the aliens and planets all in colour. Just Mind blowing at the time.

I know. My parents got our first color TV in the Fall of 1968, just in time for the premiere of Star Trek's third season (which was a roaring disappointment after the first two). Despite the fact that my first color experience of Star Trek was the episode Spock's Brain, it was still an incredible thrill. Of course, I was only 14 at the time. :biggrin

Jean Luc was the best!!! Patrick Stewert's acting style was great and I think he really fitted the part! I was especially chuffed when the writers allowed him to go on away missions too...and then when he started wearing the cool uniforms - the jacket, grey/black polar necked type top etc. Season 3 onwards rocked!!!

As for the women, well Seven of Nine was nice, however, some of them ladies in TOS were hot!

I think the first one I saw in colour was "The Tholian Web" (not sure if that's the right title :blink

Seeing it in colour, it scared me silly, but I was only 7 or 8 at the time, esp seeing Kirk floating around the Enterprise in his space suit almost transparent :dry

Gav, I've got a problem. Even if I excluse the "hotties" from Star Trek Enterprise, there are still more than 10 women to consider and the poll only allows a max of ten entries. Can you at least temporarily expand that to about 15 (won't quite be that many, but it will be close)?
