Hi guys.. Im thinking of bringing the lab partners forum back and running but first i wanted to know, how many people are studying for a MCP/MCSA or MCSE?

If you could post what you are currently studying and if you would be interested in doing labs using CF, MSN messenger and if possible vmware (not required but would be nice to have!)

Also if you are interested in helping out? Im thinking of doing the actual labs on weekend with all the preperation during the week..

I am hoping to nail the N+ in the next few weeks (honest ) and then will be moving on to 70-270, so if i can help you out it will be helping me out too.
Let us know what you decide.

 

I'm currently doing the 70-270, and 70-290 (as well as 70-291 being in the background) So i'm always willing to put my name forward.

I am hoping that with the knowledge gained from here A+ and N+ it won't be too long! How long would you guess at?

 

maybe i'll do 70-270 soon
But at the moment CCNA has biggest priority because i did network+ recently and i want to use the knowledge gained from that cert.

 

well i started in nov and wrote on 31 jan.. okay i got an 800 cause i know i was a little shabby on security... but i think the a+ and n+ will have little to do with the xp.. its not just learning an OS its making it work for you in a corporate envirment..

@Everyone... well since alot of people are starting out.. i was thinking of starting up by setting up our enviroment.. a domain controller and/or member server with one client... (dont worry if the terms are new!!) if you can get hold of vmware (dont worry if you have never used it- i think im mastering it and so will you!) or if you dont mind and have the space get actual machines..

PS out actual labs will take place in the Lab partners forum so keep it in mind!

I have my MCSA2K, currently working on 70-292 upgrade, VMWare already installed (since version 3.0)

 

Hi Guys,

My A+ is booked for three weeks time after a 4 day workshop at NITLC (I can defer the exam but I think I'll be OK ) then it's N+ and MCSE.

Count me in on the labs (although someone will have to explain to me how they're going to work ). I have VMWare up and running.

well it looks like we got a big enought crowd.. here is my plan:

Before we start the exercises we going to setup our machines (for those of you that know how - excuse the rest us! ) Ill start the preparation tonight (pending liverpool vs benfica)

look forward to working together!

 

what's the idea? i don't get it

 

using msn messenger (real-time) and our labs setup more or less the same to do exeercises together and share our knowledge.. more like study buddies!!

the one thing we are lacking is ideas from you guys.. i dont want to dicate what we do so please feel free and we can all conlude together what we want to do... ill start with the lab setup so we on a common ground then start from there...
