My bestfriend has breast cancer we've know for about 6 weeks now and she has already 2 surgerys and will start kemo treatments for 6 months then I belive it is 3 months of radiation treatments. So I have been dealing with this ok first of course was a wreck but that helps noone specially her.

Well today we got a call and joes oldest brother has lung cancer and from exp with my father I don't think it will be good or that we will have him with us for very long. He has lost 30 pounds in 3 weeks. The cancer is in the left lung appears to be as big as a fist and it seems to be wraped around the main arttery of his heart. This is what killed my father. The cancer just ate though it. But for some reason, it is affecting his speech too. He goes to a specialist next week. So I am sharing with you guys. Joe has been my rock with diane. However, now I need to be his and it appears one of his sisters, so that means you guys get to be mine. Anyway thanks for the taking the time to read this. And if you guys wouldn't mind those that pray I ask that you add these two people that are very special in our lives to the list.

You, your family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers

Cancer is tragic and insidious. One of the ladies in our congregation is a breast cancer survivor but now she has cancer in her bones, liver, and several other organs. The sister-in-law of another woman in our congregation (who is another breast cancer survivor) has cancer and has been through eight remissions and it's come back each time.

I pray daily for people who I know are sick so I can pray for these as well, mitzs.

 

Mitzs, its very sad to here what has happened. Me too, I'll pray for you, your family and friends. May god be with all of us.

I'm not a religious person Mitzs, but I will be thinking positive thoughts for you and Joe, and those that are affected by this sad situation.

 

You'll be in my mind. Be strong. Miracals do happen. One of my nieces had cancer and she is completely cured.

 

Mitzs i feel for you. I know how things must be for you going through this. Joes lucky in that he has you for good support, and i wish you both, and his brother all the best at this time.

I had similar problems in my family. 3 years ago jsutbefore i got divorced, my uncle, aunt and dad all had heart attacks within months of each other. My uncles resulted in a quadrouple bypass, my dad now suffers badly form angina and my aunts no better either. Then the stress of me getting divorced didnt help my dad. But through that all my family rallied round each other and supported one another to make things better.
Unfortunatley, my uncle was told, 6 month ago, that he now has lung cancer and only been given 18 months to live. Since then i havent talked to him or seen him. We were close, he is the best uncle and closest family member outside of my parents. We used to spend days playingsnooker and pool etc with each otehr and nights talking over a few pints. He was the one who had a great chat about his life and divorces with me when i went though mine. However i'm finding it hard to accept he could be gone soon. o i have put of talking to him about whats happened for the last 6 months. I know i really should go see him and talk to him as i don't know if i'll ever get anotehr chance. But i just cant face it yet.

All i can say to you is, do better than me, make sure Joe keeps talking to his bro and makes the most of things now, just in case.

My thoughts for joe and his brother and my thoughts for your support to him.

 

Im not a praying type, but I'll see about some healing energy.

The one thing I would say, is to make the most of your time with them. If they pull through, you've lost nothing, but if the dont (worst case scenario) you will find you will regret it immensely. I know I do! Try not to let the cancer get in the way of you all having as good a time as you can together.

 

My mum has been through cancer 3 times now, so I know its a very hard thing to cope with. Just stay as positive and strong as you can. My thoughts are with you today Mitz

My Mum's best friend also fought breast cancer and kicked it's ass into touch. It can be done. Be strong.
