Whats wrong with my tablet?

Not sure if anyone would be able to help, I have an asus 10" tab, sometimes when I power it on the touchscreen wont work.. I researched on google and the only solution I could find that worked was to hold down the power button for around 15 secs until it switches off then turn it back on. Does anyone have any idda why its doing this? Its less than year old, I dont really want to go throughthe trouble of sending it to the manufacturer tbh.

Have you tried a factory reset at all, sounds like a flakey driver possibly if its solved by a power off and on again. https://www.asus.com/in/support/FAQ/1006239/
