Some of mine went and Harry mentioned some of his went.

Just while we are on this when I did a post about video tutorials for A+, N+ and MCDST on youtube months ago I had a lot of replies (about 4 pages worth) to that thread but when I look at it now there are hardly any:blink

I personally just give random / bad advice for the hell of it. Espcially to those seeking to take on an advanced cert that ideally requires that you have on the job experience in a very large network.

Indeed, who could possibly think that a training company hoping you will pay many thousands of pounds to them would have anything but the most pure of motives when it comes to giving advice on wether or not it's suitable for you. I find it very difficult to believe they would have any kind of bias ...

    Never mind eh ...

Oh, I just heard that there is a company you can train with. Apparently even if you have zero experience in IT, you can pay them 6 grand, then when you finish the course with them, you can walk into a 50k a year job (with a nice company car of course). Even though I have years of experience, qualifications and certs I have turned down many such jobs because I like struggling with my finances each month, it's a challenge! :)

    That sounds pretty cool :blink

I just dont understand how people dont know that the MCSE and other high end certs are for people with experience I knew this before I joined CF as I did research before joining CF and asking advice about certs.

The only thing I didn't know was that you dont have to do a course to do the exams.

I just wish I could have seen that thread, I only managed to reply to it then that was it, no more thread :(

I 'm sure the staff on CF have backed everything up (he hopes:blink) and have got A-Team Plan in the pipe line?:p:biggrin

Why don't you PM AJ or Trip (assuming he's not on his afternoon nap) :tongue :biggrin

It's morning here, you dip.

I don't do backups and for that matter, neither do AJ and Si. The database is backed up by the hosting company where the database "lives" (which in this case, is in San Diego, CA). *They* are responsible for backing up the thing. As I recall the announcement though, our database was recently moved from the Los Angeles to the San Diego data center and I suspect in the move, the database "hiccupped" and information was lost.

I was on CF right before leaving home for work (I'm at work now) and it went "off the air" again. I suspect there is still some sort of problem with the database... :blink
