I'm torn myself here because I have so many great games over my entire life time that deserve being in my top ten, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Rome Total War, Sonic's, Twin Kingdom Valley, The Hobbit, Dead Rising, Sniper Elite, Destroy All Humans, Lord Of the Rings Two Towers / Return of the King /Battle for Middle Earth 1&2, Command and Conquor's, Settlers, Stuntman, Hitman 1,2,3, Golden Axe, Frontier, Resident Evils, First few Silent Hills etc etc etc

I seriously could go on all day, on virtually any platform, about my favourite games on that system because I've been a gamer since I was a little boy on the Atari 2600. . . . Pitfall, pacman, asteroids and frogger being the best games on that ha ha

My All Time Best Game That I Have Ever Played therefore, up until the start of this thread has to be ...............................................................

    FALLOUT3 on XBOX 360

I could argue with myself all day but end of the day, 1st person shooter in a post apocolyptic waste ground fighting against mutated freaks and remnants of a twisted AI run government do it for me.

    And you?

Depends on whether you mean PC game or console game or board game. If left to choose amongst all of them, I'd probably go with a board game named Advanced Civilization by Avalon Hill. If you mean PC game, I'd probably say Master of Magic.

Jagged Alliance 2. Hands down. One of the only games I have ever played that still draws me back every so often. Its one of the few games that is, in my opinion, a relatively unique IP.

I used to play that but stopped after getting bored of it. It was just the same old thing over and over. I played as china, always ended up getting 10,000 overlord tanks, 5 nukes etc. and that = win *yawn*

I've played a range of games throughout my life, few favourites but in different categories.

Cannon Fodder - Grew up loving this
Quake3 - Endless fun, and the skill of some people is admirable
RTCW \ RTCW:ET - Played this for 2-3 yrs with a load of mates, amazing competition game w/ teamplay
Lineage2 - Played this for 2 years or so, again can be amazingly funny with friends, but very time consuming!
MGS Series - Always loved the storyline and gameplay

I'm more of a multiplayer person as you may tell :biggrin

    Funny isn't it.
Your favorite game is only your favorite until the next one comes along.

Not so long ago, it used to be something on the ZX Spectrum (possibly Shadowfire, or Head over Heels, or the Great Escape) which is now the most annoying thing in the universe - rubbish graphics, horrible colours, hateful music.

My contender is probably Metal Gear Solid 3 on the Playstation.

But I suppose it depends on my mood.
Sometimes I want something challenging like Civilization or Rome Total War.

Othertimes I just want to kill stuff like Modern Warfare or Giants.

It was great fun, get two mqtes for a 3v3 battle. The only game i really got into other than football games. Only reason i stopped was it became impossible to get a game going!

Hmm, well I loved (played it to death) Jagged Alliance, but wasn't so keen on JA2. Wasn't it partial real time rather than fully turn based?

As for my all time favortite game, I'm not sure I could name a single one as some of they were great for very different reasons (ie single / multiplayer). Also, the platform the game was on also make a difference.

Some of my all time favorites would be :-

    The Bards Tale (Amstrad CPC)

Dune 2 (Single Player PC) - oh and I guess every variant thereafter by Westwood games. :)

Diablo 2 (Single & Battlenet realms multiplay)

Quake 2 DM/CTF (Online Multiplayer) - Some of the most enjoyable times I ever spent online, especially when playing as a clan in a league.

Action Quake 2 / Counterstrike - Online multiplayer.

And I suppose the best till last... Fallout 1,2 & 3. Despite loving 3 and buying most of the expansions, I still think I enjoyed 1 & 2 more. I thinkt the old quasi 3d isometric view was more immersive than the first person of FO3.

Some of the above games have taken up silly amounts of my time in the past, ahh fond memories. :)
