I book the exam, pay $300au, sit exam... If I fail the exam do I have to pay another $300? or do they allow a resit?

yes,you should need to pay the same amount again,that is what i was faced with if i failed,you'll probably pass though.
They could have made the exam more difficult than they have done.
Some of the tougher stuff to remember when revising they don't even ask questions about.
