Hi mines pure Guinness with a little A rhesus- in it. When I donate my blood the person receiving usually asked for 2 pints.:D :D

Furthermore on the serious side, I've been a reqular blood donor for over 20 year and have donated over 50 times. I have recently switch to donating platelets, which takes a bit longer to donate (1hour +), however it's worth it as it can help 2 or 3 people at one time, depending on what amount you donate.

Been a blood donor since I was 18. Had a wee break from it when I was helping a diabetes research thing, but go every time now.

    B-

They love me at my blood clinic - less than 2% of the population with my blood type.

Course, that means that if I get hit by a car, it'll probably be my own blood they put back into me if I need a transfusion...

I believe there is a blood group which is compatible with everyone (unless you are Doctor Who), which is used when there isn't time for blood sampling. I'm a good A+ Certified Techician :)

No, that does not have to be the case. It depends on how your B and your wifes A are build.
    Remember this table?

Parents' Blood Types Possible Children Impossible Children

    A & A
    (gen. AA/AO & AA/AO) A, O B, AB

    A & B (gen. AA/AO & BO/BB) A, B, AB, O none

    A & AB (gen AA/AO & AB) A, B, AB O

    (and so on)

    You are the second line.
Your wife has A. This A could come from AA (two chromosomes).
You have B. This could come from BB. In this case all your children will be AB.
If your wifes A comes from AO and your B comes from BO, you are right for the bloodgroup.

O, BTW, my type is A+

That's true, but as we don't know what our chromosomes are like I was "generalising". :)

Yep, that blood type is O-, and that a rarer blood type also, but not as rare as AB- :) I also believe, that apart from Dr Who, it doesn't work with Spock's blood which is T-

You could get a better 'guess' if you bring the bloodtype of your parents, grand parents and grand grand parents in.
Genetics was part of my education (bio chemistry).

Cool, unfortunately grandparents (and above) on both my mothers & fathers side are unknown (their deceased), same on my wife's side.

An other option is to get a whole lot of children (100 would give a good indication) and then calculate backwards what it would have been.
Allthou you might fancy this option I don't think it's very reallistic:p
