Website and download monitoring

I've set-up Google Analyitcs on a website to monitor visitor traffic, which seems to be working well so far.

Does anybody have any recommendations on how to gather more detailed information in regard to downloads from a website.

I need to know how many file downloads have been initiated and the more tricky question of how many full downloads have been completed?

Webserver is running IIS 7
