Nice little thing that Phil, Just to add you will also need the .NET Framework 1.1 download that can be downloaded from from the Microsoft Download Center.

I'm back on the case, so thanks again, Huys :thumbleft.

This afternoon I deleted all users I had created - still no joy. The same 4 SIDs are still appearing in winlogon, and the errors are still coming up every 5 min in App log.

I'll go over all the GPOs again ( I disabled them) and check for Memberships - I do remember seeing some SIDs in there sometime ago.

Cheers, Fellas - I'll report back later :)

The Domain GPOs are clear, BUT, I have found the (suspected) SIDs nestling in among the Local Security settings - right next to the Power Users group - the one referenced in winlogon.

OK, so here goes - a quick clear of the App log, run secedit /refresh......

    I'll report back shortly.

    D@mn - no joy

Right, I'm at a loss - will take one more look over the Help/Security files.

Mind you, I still haven't downloaded your suggestions, Phil and Si - look a bit complicated, tho. ???

HAH !!! One clear App Log :!:

Restored all the Users and Computers back to their Built-in Containers, out of the TestLab OU I had set-up.

Deleted the OU and <viola> No more App log problems :D

Thanks to you Guys for steering me towards the right answer :thumbleft

I really have to recommend that if you have a network with a large amount of group policy administration then this tool is a must. I've been using it this morning and I think it fantastic. :thumbleft

Ah, no , I conveniently forgot that little fact :). It'll only run on XP or 2003. You can use it to administer a 2000 AD though.
