    Hi Guys me again!

I know we have had a few posts regarding Valuntary work before! Sorry if its getting a bore

I had been having been thinking about applying for some Valuntary work - theres an Hospital near to me and their IT Department works shifts and I wondered about enquiring.

Anyways do you guys have any ideas on any other ways to look for Voluntary positions??

I have checked - "www.do-it.org" but no positions near me.

    Thanks Lee :)

this is what i would do.. find IT companies around you and within a distance you want to travel and go to them personally and give them a CV.. atleast you know if they got it or not! :biggrin

do-it.org is a good one but when I used it I found there was not too many opertunitys going on it, you just have to keep checking. As they do apear from time to time. As I got a voluntary position from there.

theres also this website you can try. http://www.it4communities.org.uk

you will need to register on it first though

Best place to get IT voluntary work is in your local PC recycling company. I don't know where you find these but I am sure your council can provide that for you. The amount of PC work that you will be exposed to is amazing. Not only you will get practical skills in PC repairs you can also ask the managing director to give reference for future job opportunities. Of course if you want a bit more of a challenge then you can find something else whilst you are spending your time at the recycling company. Just my thought.
