Hi All,

as some may know, I work for VMware, so in 2019 I'm going to be taking on more VMware Certification as it seems rude not to. Next on my to do list is the VCA. I've never sat a VCA before, instead focussing on the VMware Certified Professional VCP level.

It's worth noting that the course is online and free from VMware, so this is a great way to add a VMware certification to your CV. Sadly the exam is not free, this is £102 in the UK, but still, not a lot of money.

You can read more about the VCA here and register for the free online course which I've sat through, it's really good, and not sit the exam if you wish. Digital Transformation gets thrown around a lot in the IT industry so it's a good way to see what it's all about certainly. There is no obligation to sit the exam.

So I've just passed this one using my experience on the job and knowledge of VMware products in general. I also took time out to take the VCA-DBT Training here as it's free, has 72 videos and was really good to be honest, regardless of your level. This suits anyone from a beginner looking to learn more about Digital Transformation to a seasoned pro. This is also ideal for IT managers. While the VCA is an entry level certification, I think it shows you care about your development, so can show that you've put some effort in to update your CV and get certified in 2019
