After logging in, my MD's fixed network card initially displays, but after a few seconds disappears and he can't access fixed network. Wireless is fine.

    Any ideas? :blink

Vista is strange. If I recall correctly (not got stuff infront of me) you have to manually connect to the network that you want it to be on. This is done through the Network and Sharing Center in control panel.

Give it a go and see what happens. 8)

I think that it has something to do with how Vista secures things.

I have a similar problem with vista but on a wirless network. It will not detect the wirless network on start up, i am finding myself having to unplug the wirless USB adapter, plug it back in before it decides it wants to play

Thank you. My manager did a restore and it's now fine. Not sure what the cause was (which is a bit annoying)!
