You mentioned before that you had the official MS book? In some of them they include a trial copy of the OS (inside the back cover) that the book relates to. Usually it's a 180day trial, which is plenty enough especially if you are practicing re-installs etc...

Also, if you have a look on this page, there are links (hopefully still working) to 180day trials for Server 2003 R2.

 

Downloaded and running server 2003r2 - good
Now downloading xp

If I want to run 2 instances of xp at the same time, do I have to have 2 copies if you see what I mean? eg download - copy and rename?
