I am got a game that plays movie files. more specifically, avi files which I have double checked it does.
So when I start up the game the audio of the movie plays but not the movie and shows a white screen with an error message: video not available, cannot find 'vids:MPG4' decompressor. see attachment below.
interesting enough, the movie files play fine by them selfs just by double clicking the file through windows media player.
I did an update on windows media ver 11 and divx but that hasnt helped it. A google search points to a temp solution which is to download a mpeg4 fix here:
    http://www.moviecodec.com/downloads/28d.html

it does fix the problem a bit but the movie is in the upper left corner in a small movie box.
