Other than Comptia, are there any other 'Vendor Neutral' certification providers out there in the market?

    Yes there are.

    1. There's CWNP for wireless technology.
    2. Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) for security
    3. (ISC)2 for security
    4. ETA-i for general PC (CST) & network (CNST) - similar to Comptia, but not as popular
    5. CIW for web based development
    6. IWA for web based development
    7. WebYoda for web based development
    8. WOW for web based development

There are more, but I believe this is a start for you to look into :)
