    According to the careers website Indeed.com, these are the top IT certifications in the job market today. Do you have any of these? Do you agree or disagree? A full list can be found here

    1. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
    The AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification demonstrates your ability to create and use cloud initiatives. scalable systems on AWS. It is helpful for cloud solution architects, project managers, administrators and developers. The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is recommended before seeking this credential.

    Exam qualifications: You will need at least one year of hands-on experience with AWS technology before taking this exam.

    2. Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE)
    The CDPSE certification validates the technical skills and knowledge it takes to assess, build and implement comprehensive privacy solutions. Offered through ISACA, the credential acknowledges competent privacy technologists to build and implement solutions that mitigate risk and enhance efficiency.

    Exam qualifications: You must have at least three years of experience in privacy governance, privacy architecture and data lifecycle.

    3. Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
    The CCSP acknowledges advanced technical skills and knowledge to design, manage and secure data, applications and infrastructure in the cloud using best practices, policies and procedures established by the cybersecurity experts at International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC)².

    Exam qualifications: You must pass the CCSP exam and have at least five years of cumulative, paid work experience in information technology, of which three years must be in information security, and one year in one or more of the six domains of the (ISC)² CCSP Common Body of Knowledge.

    4. Certified Data Professional (CDP)
    The CDP is an update to the Certified Data Management Professional offered by the ICCP. Data professionals can specialize and be certified in several areas, including business analytics and data analytics, design, data governance, integration and management. Five levels of certification are offered.

    Exam qualifications: Qualifications vary according to the level. Consult the ICCP website for more information.

    5. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    The CEH v11 certification focuses on the latest commercial-grade hacking tools, techniques and methodologies used by hackers and information security professionals to lawfully hack an organization. It is offered by EC-Council.

    Exam qualifications: Consult the EC-Council website for examination information.

    6. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    The CISM offered by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), demonstrates the ability to create, implement and manage a company's security systems. It focuses on information security governance, program development and management, incident management and risk management. This certification is ideal for information systems professionals looking to further their knowledge and advance to management.

    Exam qualifications: You must have at least five years of experience in information systems within the last 10 years of taking the exam.

    7. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
    ISACA offers the CISA certification that demonstrates expertise in IS/IT auditing, control and security. It is recognized on a global level as the primary certification for information security audit control. If you work in IS auditing, security or control, this certification may be a good choice for you.

    Exam qualifications: You need at least five years of experience in information security control, auditing or security and must pass an entry-level exam before you can take the CISA exam.

    8. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    The CISSP offered through (ISC)² acknowledges your ability to design, implement and manage an exquisite cybersecurity program. The credential is recommended for experienced security practitioners, managers and executives

    Exam qualifications: You must have at least five years of experience in information security and three years of experience as a security manager to take this exam.

    9. Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
    The CRISC certification, offered through ISACA, teaches risk management and the development and implementation of information systems controls. It validates experience in building a well-defined, agile risk-management program based on best practices to identify, analyze, evaluate, assess, prioritize and respond to risks. This enhances benefits realization and delivers optimal value to stakeholders.

    Exam qualifications: It is recommended that you have at least three years of experience in two of the four sectors covered on the exam.

    10. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
    The CSM credential acknowledges that you foster an effective and productive working environment and guiding others to understand Scrum values, principles and practices. Offered by ScrumAlliance, it teaches Scrum framework and understanding of team accountabilities, events, and artifacts.

    Exam qualifications: The CSM is the first of four Scrum certifications. Consult the ScrumAlliance regarding specifics for each credential.

    I have five of them but what I find interesting is the areas they are in (some cross over):

    Cloud: 2
    Security: 6
    PM: 1
    Data Protection: 1

    In general I never trust these lists or understand how they decide what are the top ones as is very subjective.

    I think they’re based on what they see people asking of job hunters. I could be wrong

    I've taken cert surveys before, if they don't get the answers they want they ditch your survey. Its always been a crooked racket.

    I did not know that, flippin heck. I'm fascinated now though and will google what other organisations say. I'd hoped they'd be a reputable 3rd party observer but shows what I know!
