Well it seems times are indeed changing, or I'm getting better
My CV got sent out at 10:30 yesturday morning, by 2pm I had a confirmed interview for this evening at 6:15 for a job that to be honest, seemed a little overwhelming
by 7:15 the job was mine with a 10k pay rise!

Definatly my fastest turnaround so far :)
    Beers all round folks!

I'm now a Senior Business Solution Consultant
I've always wanted to be a consultant, the ever changing projects should keep me hooked and stop the role deteriating into desktop support!

Good luck to everyone else, its a great week!

A bit more info for those interested
basically I will be part of a team that designs and implements enterprise scale solutions for corporates worldwide, which means I get to play around with some fancy kit, and I get kept current on all the latest stuff, as thats kind of our business
during the interview I was given some of the recent proposals that I would be picking up if i got the job (which I did) including an 18 month project to assist in designing a voip solution for a client across 50 world wide sites, as well as a new switch infrastructure for another major client

training is provided and encouraged to keep us knowledgable (as I will be assisting the sales teams on technical meetings and such, its obviously important to know my arena, as well as future projections)

there is an attitude of assisting other team members who would generally specialise in other areas to cross train, so we all help each other get upto speed, im being brought on as a cisco specialist primarily, but will be exposed initially to a ton of varied things, primarily due to the backlog of work and my wide skillset in other useful areas (SANS, Active Directory, Firewalls etc)

sounds to be a wonderful gig, fingers crossed i dont **** it up :P
