I PASSED!!

Passed the chunky lad, the big sultan, the epic client focused titan that is the 70-270!

Looks like we may have a possible epic weekend ahead of us.

1. Passed the exam!
2. Celebrate tonight!
3. We're adopting a dog and should our landlord approve (which I hope they will) we should be ready to welcome her to the family tomorrow!

Sheesh! Do you intend to adopt a dog after every pass???

 

Thanks! Nooo the dog thing is a one off. We had this in the works for a while now and finally decided to get a dog this week. Found one we set our hearts on but might have a prob with her size.

Our lease stipulates we may keep a small dog in our home, the dog we chose is not small as in rat small like those bloody terrier things but it's not a great dane either.

The rental company said we're grand, we just have to wait for the owners of the property to approve it. Right now it's fingers crossed as we're still waiting for the results to come in.

Here's hoping!

That said, I do like how each exam has a bit of overlap. I think I will feel more comfortable with the 70-290.

However the 70-291 looks positively terrifying.

I guess what I learned most was that it was the first exam in all of these that I am undertaking that I failed but learned a lot from the failure. The score sheet they give you is very helpful in showing you your weak spots.

I used that and applied myself to those areas and it paid off. I felt a lot more relaxed second time round, I still got hit with a few choice ones though that I wasn't sure about but overall it was a much MUCH better exam the 2nd time round.

And thanks to Microsoft, the retake was on them! Thanks Bill and Co.!

One thing I did notice on both occasions I took the exam was that I appeared to have a strong knowledge of the security side of things, which is excellent news for me because that is the path I want to follow for my MCSA and ultimately my MCSE.

Sad news...sort of on the dog front. We got turned down by the landlord for a dog. That said, we found out some interesting info and it looks like we are back in the saddle to get our dog!

We have to wait until Monday now to get the final FINAL decision so we will see then.

Hopefully we'll receive a Christmas miracle and receive our new family member in time for the holidays!!

As for further study, I acheived one of my goals, to complete the 70-270 by Christmas. Now I am going to take my mind off of study until the middle of January when i will get started on the 70-290!
