I couldn't resist when I saw this news article Xavier School Deploys 600 Ubuntu Linux Desktops. In the original X-Men comics, Charles Xavier's school was called something like Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. I thought this was some sort of parody, but there really is a school (probably not for super powered mutants) with the name "Xavier" in it in the Phillipines.

 

According to the Teacher's bios at the marvel wiki, "Shadowcat (AKA Kitty Pryde) taught Computer Science classes and was a part of the senior staff." I imagine she'd be the one to provide computer support.

 

At first I also got it hard to believe that XMEN was based on a true story.
