Hi all

Is anyone else using or a has used to the Sybex Study Guide for 70-270 by Lisa Donald and James Chellis


What do you think of it ?

I am currently reading it at the moment find it a bit better than the last books i read from Microsoft for the 2000 Track

If anyone is reading this I am on Chapter 6 if you want to compare notes / study tips or lab setups

So far i have just been reading and doing the chapter tests not really felt the need to be hands on so far although i have my server and client setup

Let me know your thoughts

sorry i havent used it but from what i heard from various people who have it doesnt quite cover the objectives.. have you got the MS Press 70-270 2ND edition? maybe the two together might do? well thats what i intend in trying...

 

I got this book a couple weeks ago, didnt had a chance to sit down and start reading till yday. So far just on just finished Chapter 1. Will prob read a bit more tonight....

How you getting on/finding it

 

Have you tried the 'For Dummies' books?
I'm not sure about the XP book but When I did My 2000 Track certs I found them to be a great help.

 

So far so good although some weeks i find that i dont get a chance to look at it what with family and work

Seems to be a pretty good book but might still check out the MS book

 

mojorisin have you had a chance to use the CD provided with the book? Do you know if you can test yourself on a chapter at a time or is it on the whole book

The CD has on it an Asseement Test, Chapter Tests and 2 Bonus Exams

So in answer to your question yes it does have the questions asked at the end of each chapter it also has the complete book in PDF format and Flash Cards for PC,PDA,etc

Iam on Chapter 7 now if anyone is interested in comparing notes
