    Description
    The Design co-ordinator?s main responsibility will be coordinating the supply of design and print ready artwork for STM book covers. Other key elements of the role include: the provision of digital files of approved book covers to the marketing department, maintaining accurate and up to date, data and status of ongoing projects, liaising with editorial and marketing departments as well as design suppliers, monitoring the quality of service of suppliers, researching and advising on suitability of images to be used In cover designs

    Requirements
    Familiarity with design in a print production environment is essential. An excellent communicator, you will also demonstrate sound organisation and planning skills as well as the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. You will also possess sound IT skills, particularly the use of Quark Xpress and the Adobe Creative Suite

    Description
    You will be responsible for providing a link between IT and Distribution Departments (Books) in promoting, developing and testing back office support systems to meet business needs. Your responsibilities will include: - User Acceptance Testing; writing test plans, collating test data, testing and documenting results - back office system support; providing information, investigating problems and identifying solutions - providing documentation and training sessions for users on new software - supporting the Customer Help Desk for electronic product (Books) - some direct contact with customers regarding EDI problems/ development (Books)

    Requirements
    Whilst not essential the following would be an advantage: - educated to A level standard in Computing, Business Studies or Mathematics - experience of testing computer systems (preferably mainframe) in a technical or user environment - knowledge of back office processes; sales, order processing and fulfilment procedures Good PC skills, a logical approach to problem solving, attention to detail and the ability to assimilate and retain technical information are essential. You will have enthusiasm, initiative and self-motivation, be able to work under pressure and maintain accuracy, show flexibility when faced with changing priorities. You will be an effective communicator, both written and spoken, and have good organisation and planning skills.
