    Hi All,

Passed A+ and would like to check out some tech support handbooks.

Believe Scott Mueller, Mark Manasi, David Dick(not made up name) and Steven Bigelow? may have offerings.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

Manasi is the guy for Windows 2k and has also written on XP. His books are ver, very detailed and will make the Mike Myers A+ tome look like a Peter & Jane book (remember those?). I have Windows 2000 Server published by Sybex RRP 45.99

I assume you mean you passed both the hardware and os sections of the A+ exam. Well done.

Rather than try to go through each author and their publications, I'll provide some handy links to one of my favorite online booksellers:

    Mike Meyers: http://www.bookpool.com/.x/3c2pawzcd6/sm/0072222743

    Mark Minasi:

    http://www.bookpool.com/.x/3c2pawp5ri/ss/1?qs=Mark+Minasi&Go.x=14&Go.y=10

    Scott Mueller:

    Stephen Bigelow:

I couldn't find anything on Bookpool written by David Dick (don't worry about his name...when I used to read a lot of Science Fiction, one of my favorite authors was a guy named Phillip K. Dick).

Meyers is a well known author of A+ and now a few other certification guides that have become standard texts. Mueller is more of a "nuts and bolts" author about hardware, but has recently started producing certification oriented texts. Minasi is a total Windows guru, though I also like his book "Linux for Windows Administrators". He needed to co-write that one with someone who actually knows Linux, though.

    Hope all this helps.

Oh, I've never heard of Bigelow, though apparently he's also an author of some note.
