I was just wondering what music -if any, people like to listen to while studying?
Personally, it has to be very ambient for me as anything else is too distracting!
I find Tangerine Dream perfect for this.
I'm interested to see what whacky answers this thread throws up. Slipnot ,anyone?

For me it depends on what mood I'm in, so anywhere from nothing to hard rock really.

Mostly the same as Ken, though I do generally need background noise when I study.

But instead of all grades in between, I either listen to soft classical or hard rock.

At the moment, I have the Planets suite and Apocalyptica to study by. It's highly recommended stuff :D

I've got some pretty eclectic tastes. I might be listening to Death Metal one minute, Jazz the next and then follow it up with Rap or Classical.

At the moment I am on a big soundtracks kick - I like a lot of Howard Shore, James Newton Howard, John Carpenter and Ennio Morricone. Favourite at the moment is the soundtrack to 'The Machinist' (excellent film BTW) by Roque Banos. What I'm currently listening to can be seen in my sig - not listening to owt at the moment cos I'm at work!

I find that it doesn't really matter what kind of music I listen to when I'm studying - Napalm Death or Mahler - so long as I have music to listen to!

I'd say, "you can't grill an armadillo", but you've apparently done away with the armored, lumbering one.
