I was just wondering what music -if any, people like to listen to while studying?
Personally, it has to be very ambient for me as anything else is too distracting!
I find Tangerine Dream perfect for this.
I'm interested to see what whacky answers this thread throws up. Slipnot ,anyone?

 

In my case, it's more like, what do I listen to when I'm writing. Most recently, The Very Best of John Coltrane and Bill Evans, The Paris Concert, Edition One. I know. As the only jazz fan on the boards, I'm seriously the "odd man out".

I've got some pretty eclectic tastes. I might be listening to Death Metal one minute, Jazz the next and then follow it up with Rap or Classical.

At the moment I am on a big soundtracks kick - I like a lot of Howard Shore, James Newton Howard, John Carpenter and Ennio Morricone. Favourite at the moment is the soundtrack to 'The Machinist' (excellent film BTW) by Roque Banos. What I'm currently listening to can be seen in my sig - not listening to owt at the moment cos I'm at work!

I find that it doesn't really matter what kind of music I listen to when I'm studying - Napalm Death or Mahler - so long as I have music to listen to!
