    Thanks for the guide.

Big fan of CBT nuggets and the boss likes them as it's friendly on his budget :)

Craigie - On the citrix site I have registered etc and know how to get the ISO thanks to your help however i'm a little confused don't they offer the material for free? or have I understood something wrong.

    hey mate,
was this the 1Y0-264 (Citrix XenApp ((Presentation Server 4.5)) Support) ? I see the 1Y0-259 (Citrix presentation server 4.5 and XenApp 5 for Windows 2003 administration) has now been discontinued.

    Edit:

Did you buy "the real cca" book after? Reason i ask is amazon reviews aren't good

    cheers

I'm studying for my CCA and haven't bought any books as the few out there all have bad reviews. I've been heavily installing, tweaking and testing xenapp5 and also hitting the Citrix forums a lot to ask questions and general nose around. I've also downloaded a free study guide which is like an exam cram from Citrixxperience.

Is the A05 exam and XenApp 5 on 2008 still a wise route to take for Citrix certification (at the time I'm posting this) would anyone say?

The exam is still available and the Citrix site says XenApp 5 is still in support, but I'm a bit confused as to what exam I should aim for. XenApp 6 is now out and runs on R2 only. Seems more up to date. My trouble is, I generally only certify in technologies I work with or can get my hands on. I support XenApp 5 so I've booked the A05 exam but I wouldn't mind some advice from anyone up on their Citrix please.

I only intend on getting the one CCA and do not expect to continue onto CCAA etc if that makes any difference.
