When I had a problem back in march with a game, temp was the first thing that entered my head I now have and exhaust fan at the back and an extra fan at the back, my temp on full load is 64 degrees c, but a good idea as hats the first thing i would have thought of with it being hardware.

You have to download the BETA driver to get bioshock to work. How about having a peek in Event viewer?? See when the application hangs/reboots.... What error code do you get??

The code I am getting is pointing to the nv4.dll (graphics driver) file like it did before, when I had the malware that corrupted it, I formatted my pc and re-installed.

From looking on game forums this is happening alot with people running BIOSHOCK maybe I just have wait for a patch or untill Nvidia makes this beta driver a real driver.

Out of interest are you running single sli? I only ask since ive heard a lot of people are conversing about dual sli having problems in games. (lack of drivers in some cases)

Yes I am I have an sli mobo but only the one graphics card MSI 8600gt.

I have managed to progress a bit further in the game by knocking all detail of on the card and reducing the res to 800 x 600 but it still crashed, i am going to try it again after my tea.

    I only have onboard sound.

I have got it to run for about 10 minutes by having low graphics settings but then it froze again.

I have also just found that there is a new nvidia beta driver for BIOSHOCK appaently its supposed to fix reported issues but I'll wait and see.

I have just played on BIOSHOCK for an hour which is about 55 minutes longer than any time I have had it on in the last 2 days.

I have downloaded the new beta driver as suggested by bioshock tech support but I also had to knock the graphics settings to low.

It worked without slowing down and no freezing and rebooting, actually the graphics didnt look to poor on low, hopefully something will occur like a patch which will let me have the settings I had it on the first two levels.
