Starting CCNA - self-study

    just a thought... if u have a networking background during ur degree.......... dat means ur either a CS or EE major... that'll make the CCNA a piece of cake... just my opinion

    Not necessarilly!

    Does the degree cover things such as backing up a Frame Relay Link with ISDN? Or setting up access lists to restrict the folw of traffic?

    We've seen plenty of people who have been working on Cisco equipment for x amount of years and have plenty of background knowledge and go and fail the CCNA exam because they think their working knowledge will get them through, they get really rude awakenings.

    You have to study the syllabus for the exam and know it inside out. You can't just walk in and find it's cake by having lots of background knowledge degree or real world experience. It's a very particular syllabus
