when are you thinking about doing yours? I know you said earlier you are just waiting, not sure how far you got so far.

 

I'm just into Chapter 17 now. I was scoring a little low on some end of chapter questions, so I have been back and reviewed them, as and when needed.

The CompTIA website test says I'm ready, so I guess at the beginning of next week, I will arrange a booking (there have been landslips on the only road to Glasgow, so it is shut at the moment, so no rush!)

So I will have swift review of the objectives, and material again between the end of the book, and the exam!

I'm sure you will do fine, just relax and turn up on the day with a clear head!

 

not too sure how andylad's exam turned out, hopefully he did good, waiting to hear from you bud !

as for myself, I did pass the exam, I am quite happy. DEFINITELY harder than the A+ if you ask me, and not to mention the question are soooooo confusing.

Not sure what I want to do next, was thinking/leaning towards CCNA, I start school in Sept so I haven't picked a specialty field yet. I am open to any suggestions !

Any idea where you're going to focus? I'm not sure what you're studying at your school.

There is always the 'trinity' of CompTIA exams - Security

If you want to go to the Microsoft route you could do an MTA or MCITP.

That will be like some of the odd questions on the A+ then, that seemed pretty ambiguous! I better have my brain in gear when I come to sit mine then!

 

Thanks, I am doing a 3 year Computer Technology course starting in Sept.
That is the reason why I wanted to get the easier certs out of the way first.
I MAY MAY end up doing the ICND1 first, or I may get a mix of both and just go for the CCNA, i'm not too sure, I have to sit down and figure study material and test costs for ICND1/2 vs CCNA exam.

I don't know anything about MTA or MCITP, I will research those as well.

You will be fine Les, as long as you did all the stuff that you mentioned, you will pass. I am making it sound very difficult and confusing, but there was TONS more questions that I did know vs questions that I used common knowledge, I have no doubt after doing it, you will be fine

My brain was fried afterwards...I didn't exactly help matters by spending the rest of the day in the pub celebrating (probably just killed off all the N+ brain cells HA)

Like I said I am going back to school, so I don't have a specific profession yet, just wanted to get some starter certs to have.

 

Just booked mine today for Thursday, so I'm not far behind you guys!
