just loaded mint 10 onto my laptop and was wondering if anyone could recommend some good music composing software which lets you record or import your own recordings? also if you can't record directly to the program, what good recording software is about?
    cheers

Again I'm not sure if it will run on your distro but you might want to look at Audacity...
