Sorry Guy's don't know where to put this one,

I have passed A+ and studying cisco but that has helped me get a job as a support analyst, mainly aplication software.

I will be put on courses for JCL, CICS, TSO, COBOL, ASEMBLER,
I know they will know where to start but I was just wondering if I was to buy a book what one would I start with.

If I saw that list 20 years ago I could suggest something. Now - Hm....

You are clearly going to support some antique code!

    I can honestly say I haven't a clue!

My book on JCL is dated 1978, and was bought by mistake - I've never used it.

You are going to have to talk to IBM 'old-timers' to get some idea of how to tackle these.

This site seems to cover the ground and it may be worth your while looking through their offerings.

Also do some intensive googling! The site above was the second entry when I searched for 'books cics'.

    Best of luck though!

    Harry.
