I hate Manchester - always have done. I'm going on a stadium tour of Old Trafford next week (Sourcefire are doing a technical briefing session there and throwing in lunch and a walk round the stadium). I'm going to try and find Fergie's office and piss in the corner...

Bath is lovely - but a bit quiet - they might not appreciate a bunch of slavering nerds descending on their fair city :D

I suppose Manchester is just like anywhere else really: If you know the right places it can be good.

As for Bath,...Isnt that where the bikers congregate? If bath can handle that then it can certainly handle a Bunch of us pasty geeks.

I resent that. I may be pasty, but I am not a geek!

Also, I saw a program once highlighting the UK's major problem with binge drinking. They filmed it in Bath. It looked like an awesome night out

Bath doesn't play host to the biking community and can certainly no longer be associated with the word quiet.

We have students (Tasty students I might add! :sexie) to die for, plenty of pubs and clubs and excellent company - me! 8)

Seriously though guys, we need to find a venue that we can all get to, and judging by some peoples finances, a place that's not too expensive (The parsimonious people on here will be happy with that statement! :D ).

Lets draw up a shortlist and do the democratic thing and vote!

    So far we have:

    1. Bath
    2. Manchester
    3. Newcastle

Anyone got any other venues to add?

Well to be honest we only have one queen bed and I sleep in that with joe.:biggrin

The snakes are not pets by any means. My house is litteraly built on the side of a mountain. We have both rattlers and copperheads in the woods around here and Joe killed a copperhead in the yard last year. And I'm sure we will kill a couple more of one or the other this year. If everyone stays in the house you'll be ok. We pour coal oil around the base of the house every year. This seems to keep them out, but a bunch of drunks walking around in the woods, well, I can't guarantee anyone safety then...
