Skype and Vmware

I was just wondering how Skype would work with Vmware together, more specifically for the masterclasses. If I understand it correctly, the guest os's in Vmware are just files and Vmware itself is just another program running on the host os, therefore Skype should also be able to run at the same time. Not having used Vmware (no time) yet or Skype (no one to ring) I haven't been able to test this out. Anyone tried this yet??

ok from what i understand
your talking about running VMWare and Skype, not running Skype IN vmware?

works fine
i do it all the time
VMWare is just another program, although a bigger resource hog than most

it can crash, it can be turned off, turned on, you can have winamp running, web browsers, i often have VMWare running permenantly

so no problems mate
