mines a beemer 318i (thats a 1.9 to german folk, don't know why they don't call it a 319i), it'll cost more than an Astras head gasket, its in the garage tommorow for pressure tests to confirm if it is the head gasket but I am pretty convinced it is.

Wouldn't bother with Cisco myself, been studying it for 2 years now on and off, finding it very hard at the moment to motivate myself to sit an exam about stuff I will most likely never touch in my career. Better sticking with Microsoft Certs in my opinion.

Yep cisco certs don't interest me from what I have seen of them, it's not something I wish to do.

Then in my opinion you are making the right choice by going for a Microsoft cert to begin with.

The CISCO path leads you to deal with the infrastructure - the glue that holds your network together like the switches and routers - which can lead to a rewarding career but it depends on the size of the company you work for.

Different companies call things by different names you see - Where I work I was part of the "Network Support" team which meant I had to look after the infrastructure, the servers, lock the network and systems down, maintain the workstations and keep the end users happy. IMO a poorly named department.

Smaller companies tend to expect you to do everything and outsource the CISCO side of things whereas larger companies usually employ their own teams. Same deal for security - smaller companies expect you to be able to do it all whereas larger companies tend to employ specialists.

    My 2pc's worth anyway.
