    Hello all,

Im Ryan, 21 years old working in quite possibly the most boring area of IT known to man... logistics customer support.

Found my way here through using the subtle search phrase of "Scheidegger complaint", which in fairness didnt bring back many but the ones it did werent exactly inspiring. (although searching for complaints really was never going to be)

and thus my reason for being here. I have just ""invested"" in Scheideggers CIW Master Enteprise Manager / Master Web Manager course in the hopes of learning enough to get me on the first rung in a Website design/mantenence type job, eventually leading to some side freelance work and generally a nicer lifestyle than i lead now.

I will go post my progress in the specific forum.

    Cheers
    Ryan

Hi Ryan, and welcome to Certforums.

Generally, I spiel about Scheidegger whenever anyone mentions it, and I'm not going to make you an exception :)

I'm doing their networking route - A+, N+, CCNA, CCNP. I've heard a fair few people whine, but my general ethos is you get out what you put in. So have a roam around the boards - there'll be tons of people to help you with what you need - and good luck with those Certs!!

    Thanks for the welcome,

Yeh it has got some really bad press on DesignTechnica forums, but that was all I could really find.

Im not all that bothered by it, as they say the proof is in the pudding, so Ill tuck in and make my own mind up and hopefully help anyone else who has hesitations etc on the way.

Are you working in a Networking field at the moment or are you training to move into that?

Welcome lokideviluk. I wouldn't worry about the complaints as long as you feel your getting your money worth. People that complain tend to be the loudest. Good luck with your studies and keep us up todate. :)

Oops, I was answering two posts at once there and merged you with someone else (I'm on dial-up at home and let several threads load at once in the background while I'm working on something else!). CIW, yeah, I know the difference, even considered one on that track myself... maybe when I've got my other plans in the bag have a try myself at the Master Web Designer!

By technicality, I'm in a sales role at the moment, but I'm cahoots with the network admin, so I get lookins at the server, etc - to help with the course. Long term, I'm hoping that my Certs and work experience will get me into upper-level management within my existing company - middle level is too boring. PM me if you have any specific questions - I'd be happy to answer!!!
