Scan a remote PC

    HI ALL

    do u guys know of any AV s/ware or progs that can scan a remote computer preferibly without having to install any software on it?

    i take it you are not referring to a network solution, but a standalone machine?

    If so, get yourself (well, not you, but the machine!) over to housecall.

    most AV software can do it, if you are clever...

    All you need to do is map a drive on your machine to the target machines drive(s) (If you arent aware, entering \\targetmachine\c$ will get you into the c drive of the remote machine, provided you have the rights). Once mapped, you can tell your AV to scan against that drive. It'll be slow, and it doesnt scan running processes, but I've done it before.
