Just wondering if anyone has used Resultant Set Of Policy in the MMC to diagnose issues with users at point of login?

What I am looking to do is pinpoint an ongoing issue which has been dogging us for a while. Simply put some users cant access the internet as the proxy settings are not getting applied, we can put them in manually but obviously this is a time consuming task.

So I was looking to see if I could get the users settings at logon and not what they are supposed to get, which is what I seem to be getting at the mo, I'm basically after an error so I can somehow trace it back ?

I have used it before just need to make sure you select the user logging on when running the report

 

try gpresult on the logged on machine, also check event viewer on that machine for group policy errors
