Roxio CD Creater

    Can anybody help???

    I want to remove Roxio Cd creater off my laptop,but when I do this it takes of my cd writer??? so when I put a disc,it says there is no cd/dvd player,if I load it back on again it comes back!!

    Any ideas??

    What happens when you install this software? can you not see the CD-R/W?

    Just out of interest what OS is the PC running?

    I run XP Home,no when I load nero6 into the computer,it can not find CD-R/W.

    Where did the copy of Nero come from? If it was a bundled one then it is quite possible that it won't see your drive, as these versions are often 'locked' to the drive they were bundled with.

    As this is XP you should be able to write CDs with just the included burner software. Can you? If not then you will need to repair the XP installation.

    I have left Roxio on and put Nero on and it works fine,I dont use Roxio,thats why I want to remove it,I use Nero because of the dvd burner on it. I would like to make space on my hard drive.
