I setup my RIS server.. on my domain controller using VMWare. The DHCP gives the new client a IP but the RIS doesnt seem to work :( i checked in AD to see if remote installtions can receive clients and it is ticked (OK in other words), am i missing something here or is it VMWare?

EDIT i verified the RIS server and everything checks out good..

EDIT2: i got a snap shot for you too now! hehehe

Remote answer files? If so, then yes. There is something on the XP install disc. Try doing a google. I have never done it personally but come across it browsing through the 70-270 book. You can also set up encryption.....

Yes Zimbo, you can setup an answer file for RIS installs. Use the normal SetupMgr tool that you would create an answer file with, and there is an option to create one for a RIS install.

Then you need to ascociate the answer file with a particular RIS image. There is an MS guide to doing this here.
