Checked voltages and temps in bios, they are being managed themselves and seem fine. I would do system restore but I need the applications I have installed untill then (Virtual Pc,Drivers,WM Ware server,Spybot)
The CPU runs at 50% Which is made up of System taking 50% and Sytem Idle Process taking 50% So I have 50% free, but it never drops below 50 it's either dot on 50 or above 50, any other ideas? As Im sure the system processes do not take 50%?

    Regards,

You could open task manager and start killing program processes (not system ones) until you get the one that is causing the problem.

How about going into device manager and doing the same for devices such as cd, usb etc.

Tried system restore, and still cpu was either 50% or over 50?
not sure of what else I can do apart from reinstall xp home?
Also disbaled hardware in device manager and still 50%?
And killed all processes that arn't system ones, still 50%?

    Any ideas?

Did you disable all the usb devices in DM?

Because I've seen this issue before with usb devices/drivers.

I tried, but everytime I clicked disable, Device manager would freeze up. Saying that I have just tried to use a usb port and they are not working?

If you switch the pc off and then remove the card reader connector from the motherboard, does it do the same?

Damaged? No, but it's reduced the life expectancy of the cpu by about 24 hours.
