:x Don't make me come in there and duck tape your tail pipe close! Paper cert my foot.8) You have a lab, you have some kind of hands on exp just was not in a work place enviorment. Now I want both you and Blue to listen to me. Neither of you are paper anything. You both have to much tech exp in one field or another to be a paper anything. A paper cert is someone who only reads books to pass the exam, but has no idea to actually apply the knowledge they have in a real world enviorment. A paper cert would be someone who read Mike Meyers A+, passed the exam, but could not put a rip computer back togather, A mcse might know what a domain is and a forest but would they know how to build domains in to a proper forest or after it is built how to search a tree in that forest by using the gc? You would probably end up with a map to their national state park. Paper certs have no hands on exp. This can not be said for either of you. 8)

Yeah your right, I remember when they made a remake of the Avengers and got uma thurman to play Mrs Emma Peel :(

Did anyone see the remake? Got a crap review on IMDB

    :offtopic

I disagree with that statement from Mitzs:-

"A paper cert is someone who only reads books to pass the exam, but has no idea to actually apply the knowledge they have in a real world enviorment"

I found from A+ it built up my confidence and from it I was able to recognized error messages from the motherboard. Also memory problems and what SCSCI is.:biggrin

If we didn't have certs how would we prove to an employer we actually did those things? :blink

No real-world experience is fine for a certification like the A+. The A+ is designed for people without real-world experience, so you'll never hear the term, "Paper A+". Other certifications, like the MCSA and MCSE, are designed for people WITH experience. Thus, people who get those certifications without experience are actually classified as "paper certified".

You can disagree all you want hun. But i've have met several paper certs. They can't do crap. They know enough to sit an exam and anwsers questions but could not do the hands on. YOu mean to tell me you want though all A+ and did not do a refomat or take one apart before you sat your exam?

There are alot of people that don't have certs nor are interested in them. However, they do have the exp they put this resume on their cv. Just because one has a cert does not mean they can do the job. :dry
