Oracle have just bought Sun and therefore now own MySQL, its unclear what their plans for a competing DB product might be, I'd therefore hold off on any related certifications if I were you.

 

hey thanks for your feedback. indeed oracle bought mysql - but I really don't think oracle will just 'drop' mysql.
anyway, when am done with cmdev - i would like to try an oracle cert.
