Am i gutted abvout us drawing with Wigan tonight making the mancs sit pretty with a game in hand. Not only that at this moment it seemed like this was our best shot for a while and as much as id love Liverpool to win the title ive got that sinking feeling.

One thing i spose thats in our favour is the mancs have aresenal chelsea and us to play so hopefully points will be dropped by them

    Any comments anyone

I think you'd better have another look at the fixture list.

I think everyone's forgetting the two in-form teams at the moment are Villa and Man Yoo.

And everyone's still only talking about the Villains' credentials for fourth, never mind the fact that they're also only 3 points behind United.

So I, personally, would look forward to seeing Man Yoo slip, and the Villains keep their rich form and bite you all in the ass.

That being said, they're teensy tiny squad would have to stay fit. O'Neill won't have a problem keeping them motivated, and with Heskey in to replace the bull forward role that Carew was working so well with Agbonlahor... I'd keep an eye out for the claret and blue, if I were you lot

I love reading your posts but this one I couldn't take seriously! :D

Villa, may - and it's a big may - just finish in 4th. But the title? Come on... you're not serious!

    League Table

They're three points off the Reds, with the Reds having a game in hand. They're only one point behind Liverpool and Chelski, both of whom are playing quite apathetically at the moment.

    Form Guide

Man Yoo are the only team in the Premier playing better than the Villains are.

At this point in the season, the position Villa are in, is identical to the position they were in when they last won the title.

Sure, it's still a long shot because their squad depth is still quite shockingly poor, but they do have the first team players with the ability, if they can keep fit. (big if, I know).

But IF the players can keep fit, why not? They're in just as strong a position as the other chasers, and have better form at the moment.

I like fantasy fiction and daydreaming. But Premier League football got stagnant the last few seasons - there wasn't a top four chase, it was a top 3. Liverpool have only just come back into the fold with regards to being proper title contenders - in the respect that this is their first season in eons where they're in with a shout. It'd throw the game open again, make it more exciting - with how close the top chasers are to each other, and the relegation pack easily all the way up to 13th, this is the most exciting season I've ever got to watch. I want Villa to hold their form, if just to keep up the interest!

And their title chance odds have been slashed.

150/1 at the start of the season, you now see it as low as 40-1. Still outside chance, but slashed, and a chance nevertheless :)

And for the 'may' finish 4th, Arsenal are 5th and three points behind. Everton are 6th, and 10 points behind.

They're looking more and more solid for a minimum of 4th as time goes on :biggrin lol

(and no, I'm surprisingly not a Villa fan. The other half is though.)

Villa wont win, neither will spurs and they never will unless a bomb blows up manchester, chelsea and liverpool.

My each way bet is on Manu or Liverpool.

I think the Spurs for this season comment was a joke

Liverpool won't win it. They're self destructing - if the dressing room ain't working, it won't work out on the pitch, either.

Man Yoo to hold out, Villa to pip it at second, maybe 6 or 9 points behind 'em.

    My prediction:

    1: Man U
    2: Liverpool
    3: Chelsea

    - I think Scolari will leave at the end of the season and Benitez's future will be in great doubt if he misses out on what was/is a great chance at title glory!

You could have surprised me, LOL! :D

Although If it came down to it, I'd still put my money on Arsenal finishing 4th. I do hope that Villa remain there. How sweet it would be to see a member of the "Big Four" loose their monopoly.

This is crazyness, personally I can see it ending...

    1. Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Villa

    or

    2. Man Utd, Chelsea, Villa, Liverpool

I can see Arsenal coming into the frame with Liverpool falling so badly, unless they manage to steady the ship they could find themselves out of the top 4, let alone title contenders!!

Oh, and the mighty Spurs will come in around 8th - 11th... :D

Liverpool don't have the bottle to win the title if you ask me.

Torres looked unfit last night, why Rafa is playing him when a £20 million striker is on the bench is beyond me. Gerrard Bails them out on a regular basis when it looks like the rest of the team can't be bothered, they can't expect to win the league. You have to ask yourself would a player like Lucas get a game or even on the bench at United, Chelsea or Arsenal?

To win the league you need to beat teams even when you are playing badly. Liverpool can only draw those games. Its no good beating United and Chelsea then dropping points everywhere else.

They're a good bet for the Champions league
