    Hi All,

Just my apprenticeship and I'm looking to improve. Here's my job role:

In my job currently I mainly build and configure servers for people. But there is talk about me going to install them into business's infrastructures, designing networks and storage solutions and also I will be monitoring works network. I'm pretty excited about these role I'll be getting but I need to improve my knowledge (work will be helping with a lot of my training). I'm also punching in the patch panel at work (very fiddly job but fun).

Here is what I feel like I need to improve/interested in (any advice would be helpful):

-Networking: monitoring, security, protocols. I'm currently reading computer networks: a top down approach.

-Operating systems: Windows 2008, 2012, Linux

    - Virtualisation: VMware mainly

-Computer science: I’d like to know about computer science more for fun really

-Maths: my math skills are quite weak

-Cloud: I know nothing about it and would like to have at least a basic knowledge

A lot to learn, which means I'll probably be asking a lot of questions:D

My aim is to one day be a IT systems architect
