OK. I have a very wide ranging sense of humor and love puns and word plays, but I just don't get this one. Is this an English/British thing?

Well, I had to do some Googling on this, and to tell the truth I had never even heard of 24 Hours from Tulsa before.... Even once I found out the what the reference means this "pun" still a little beyond my sense of humor. :blink

In poorer taste still, when he died the London Evening Standard ran a feature about how "incredibly" he was only 24 hours from Tulsa when he died (in Cardiff). This 24 hours took into account time zone changes and involved flying via Amsterdam and New York - so basically, they would have made it work wherever he died.
