I;m thinking of starting the CCNA. Can someone please recommend 1 or 2 textbooks which you have found to be most useful.

yeah, todd lammle(sybex)is great, I would also reccomend Exam prep CCNA by jeremy cioara, he has explained the concepts brilliantly and in much more depth, including NAT, access lists and fram relay.
